Sennheiser Shotgun Mic Used for Red Carpet Event

LOS ANGELES – Sennheiser's MKH 8060 shotgun microphone, used with the MZD 8000 digital output module, captured the audio of arriving guests at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards Show's red carpet area outside the Nokia Theater. An EK 2000 portable receiver, SKM 2000 XP handheld transmitter and e935 dynamic cardioid microphone module was used for celebrity interviews.

Two Stadiums in Qatar Equipped with Renkus-Heinz IC Live

QATAR – Soliflex consultant Fredrik Setterberg equipped digitally-steerable IC Live systems for two 25,000-capacity soccer stadiums in Qatar. Soliflex and Al-Tamas provided each of the the two open-air venues with 16 IC-Live arrays and two subwoofers connected via RHAON. A MediaMatrix NION NX handles distribution of the Yahama-mixed audio to the system's 11 zones. All the loudspeaker processing is performed with RHAON.

GBSC Consultant Upgrades Chapel with Danley System

CINCINNATI – Audio consultant Tim Dentler upgraded the system at the 1,000-capacity chapel for God's Bible School & College (GBSC) with gear from Danley Sound Labs. The upgrade includes three SM-60Fs in a single flown cluster, two TH-Mini subwoofers under the stage, and a 3-in 6-out Ashly Protea 3.24CL processor. Four 2-channel Ashly KLR 3200s power the SM-60Fs and TH-Mini subwoofers. A Yamaha LS9-32 with a 16-channel expander increased the channel count to 48.

Andrea Bocelli Concert Heard by Wet Fans via L-Acoustics Gear

NEW YORK – Some 10,000 fans braved the wet weather Sept. 15 to hear Andrea Bocelli on Central Park's Great Lawn. Firehouse Productions supported the event with a dozen L-Acoustics K1 loudspeakers paired with three KARA for downfill. The setup also included ARCS for outfills and SB28 subwoofers, all powered by 22 LA8 amplified controllers in LA-RAK touring racks.

HURST, TX – TPS Audio Video provided Allen & Heath gear for the First Baptist Church here, which hosts two services each Sunday for a congregation of 2,000. The iLive-144 is outfitted with an iDR10 MixRack with an Aviom card, providing 64 inputs and 32 outputs, boosting DSP power and programmability. TPS also installed an Allen & Heath PL-6 wall-mounted mix controller in the sanctuary for smaller events.
