DORTMUND, Germany — For the 28,000 visitors at the recent ADAC Supercross motocross event here, larger-than-life video screens helped bridge the visual distance between the crowd and the competitors. That distance had to be spanned via audio as well — above the roar of the dirt bikes. D.A.S. Audio loudspeakers, powered by Lab.gruppen amps and governed with Lake processing, went the distance.

ABU DHABI, UAE — Brittania Row’s audio support for the UAE’s 40th National Day celebration, held in the round at Zayed Sports Stadium, included eight hangs of L-Acoustics KUDO, SB218, V-DOSC, dV-DOSC, 108XTs, KIVA, KILO and other distributed speakers, all controlled by 17 Lake LM26 processors, three Yamaha DME processors, six XTA Breakout Boxes and linked via a dual redundant fiber-optic IP network. LOS ANGELES — A 3.5-hour marathon of sorrow and triumph, the 54th Grammy Awards, broadcast live Feb. 12 from Staples Center, seen by 39 million and discussed by millions more on social networks, was astonishing, fresh and poignant — and flawless audio support was more crucial than ever. Audio for the succession of separate mini-productions was provided by ATK AudioTek and FOH engineers Ron Reaves and Mikael Stewart, with important assists from gear manufacturers including Audio-Technica, Sennheiser and Shure.

LiquiTec Handling Sale of 4,000 Live Production Items

WINNIPEG, Manitoba — LiquiTec Industries, Inc., a global asset management and disposition firm, is managing the sale of surplus grip, sound, lighting, and theatrical production and rental assets currently warehoused here.
