Read More »Lexicon’s DD-8 Multi-Room Power Amplifier from Harman is now available in a black finish. The Lexicon DD-8 8-channel amplifier with DriveCore technology delivers 125 watts into each of its eight channels. It measures 2.1 by 17.3 by 14.9 inches. Harman’s DriveCore amplifier IC chip, developed with Texas Instruments, incorporates a new level of component integration into an IC that is smaller than a postage stamp. The black version of the Lexicon DD-8 will be available in January 2012.

Designing the A300SM wasn’t easy — the KSM353 weighs 1.5 lbs. and lacks a secure attachment point. The A300SM’s designers also had to achieve the right tension and for the allowable movement to perpendicular with the movement of the ribbon. They came up with a design that uses wire rope instead of traditional elastic bands or rubber o-rings. The A300SM also features a ShureLock thread design.
