Anderson Audio Provides EAW Gear as the White House Salutes the Blues

WASHINGTON, DC — Anderson Audio provided EAW’s NTL720 line array elements and NTS250 subwoofers to support PBS’ In Performance at the White House: Red, White and Blues. The gear met the challenge posed by the White House’s East Room for a VIP audience that included the President, First Lady and guests. Part of “Black History Month,” the event featured B.B. King, Jeff Beck, Mick Jagger, Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi, Warren Haynes, Keb’ Mo’, Shemekia Copeland and others.

Audient, Sontronics Announce U.K. Distribution Partnership

HAMPSHIRE, U.K. — Audient and Sontronics have a new distribution partnership in the U.K. A new entity, Audient-Sontronics UK, will provide joint support for end users overseen by Audient’s U.K. sales manager, Gareth Williams (pictured, left), and centralized warehousing at Audient’s Hampshire headquarters. Service and support will continue to be handled at Sontronics’ headquarters in Dorset, and all press and marketing will be managed in-house by Sontronics’ marketing director, Lisa Coley.

LONDON – Electrosonic promoted James Sharp to account manager for corporate solutions. Sharp joined Electrosonic’s Edinburgh office in 2005 taking on the position of Internal Sales Support. NORWOOD-YOUNG AMERICA, MN — Video Services Inc. provided Norwood-Young America High School with an EAW sound system. The configuration includes six of the NTL720 modules arrayed in a single center cluster, flanked by two EAW AX364 3-way full range installation loudspeakers as the left-right stereo pair on each side. The system also includes two EAW SB1001 subwoofers floor-mounted on casters.

HOUSTON — HFP Acoustical equipped the Houston Ballet Center for Dance with 68 Meyer Sound self-powered loudspeakers spread throughout the building’s nine rehearsal studios, 175-seat performance space, lobby areas, and conference rooms. They are part of a digital AV network that connects to more than 20 video screens.
