The update reflects user feedback that Midas has gathered for the last five years. The DMS70 operates with 24bit 48 kHz transmission in the 2.4GHz ISM band, a worldwide license-free frequency range. FRANKFURT, Germany — Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. launched the new CL Series of digital consoles, a Dante network-based console featuring remote I/O for a faster, more responsive Yamaha system solution, at Prolight + Sound. Along with the new consoles – CL5, CL3 and CL1 – the company also announced the latest update for its StageMix iPad App available for Yamaha M7CL and LS9 digital consoles: StageMix Version 3.

FRANKFURT, Germany — At Prolight + Sound (Hall 8, H40) Turbosound featured its Flashline large scale line array system powered by Lab.gruppen with Lake processing and Dante networking. Turbosound also added to its line of high performance floor monitors with the TMW-112 wedge (pictured here). The company also previewed its next step into compact line array territory, the TFA-400 constant curve line array loudspeaker. FORT WAYNE, IN — The World Choir Games are coming to Cincinnati, OH this July, the first time ever on U.S. soil. That means that Fort Wayne-based Unity Performing Arts Foundation (UPAF) and its Voices of Unity Choir, which traveled to China to compete in 2010, won’t have to travel nearly as far. Even so, the group, which returned from China with two gold medals, still needs to raise funds for its 2012 effort to defend the gold. Sweetwater (also based in Fort Wayne) once again lent its support: a “lead gift” of $50,000 for the cause.
