Anschutz Company Puts AEG Up for Sale

LOS ANGELES — The Anschutz Company announced that Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) is for sale. AEG owns more than 100 venues, including Staples Center and London’s O2 arena. Its subsidiary, AEG Live, is the second-largest concert promoter, behind Live Nation. AEG also produces music festivals including Coachella, and its sports franchises include the Los Angeles Kings.

HOUSTON — Lending further proof to the saying “everything is bigger in Texas,” L-Acoustics US reports that Houston-based LD Systems has now purchased a mega-stadium-sized K1/KUDO system. Hailed as one of the largest sales in the manufacturer’s 28-year history, the order includes 386 enclosures — including variable curvature, constant curvature and coaxial systems — all powered by LA-RAK.
