MSI Used Variety of Harman Gear at 2012 Orion Music + More Festival

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — Maryland Sound International (MSI) supported the first Orion Music + More Festival, a two-day event staged here last June, with a variety of audio gear made by Harman. The event, featuring some two dozen bands, was headlined by Metallica and also featured Arctic Monkeys, Avenged Sevenfold, Cage the Elephant, Modest Mouse and  Baroness. This year’s event is set for June 8-9, 2013 in Detroit.

Florida Church’s All-New System Includes Ashly, Danley Gear

TRINITY, FL — Hope United Methodist Church, based here, hired Christian Sound Installations (CSI) to design and install an entirely new sound system for its 450-seat sanctuary that includes Ashly Audio processing and amplification and Danley Sound Labs loudspeakers, subwoofers, and stage monitors, plus gear from Sennheiser (G3 wireless), Allen & Heath (a GLD console), Aviom (PM for the drummer) and a Tascam hard drive recorder.

Midas PRO1 Mixes Sound for “Beauty and the Beast”

DURBAN, South Africa — Prosound provided a Midas PRO1 for the recent run of Beauty and the Beast performances at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre here. Megan Levy of DarkHorse Productions had never used a PRO1 before, but quickly found her way around the console, crediting the PRO1 for being “theatre-friendly” and also for its sound quality.
