Read More »BURLINGTON, MA — Avid Technology Inc., based here, announced on Feb. 25 that its Q4 2012 earnings report, originally due to be released on Feb. 26, would be delayed. The company, which made a costly foray into audio and video editing products for consumers before selling those businesses last year, has been reportedly struggling for profitability since 2005. Avid had previously announced on Feb. 11 that its president and CEO, Gary Greenfield, had voluntarily resigned his post and would be replaced by one of the company’s directors, Louis Hernandez, Jr.
Read More »Prolifts S.L. has released the new VMB HDT-8 — the company’s largest tower lifter to date. The Heavy Duty Tower is capable of elevating 772 pounds to a maximum height of 36.9 feet and will be shown on VMB’s stand at the Prolight+Sound show in Frankfurt in April. BGV-C1 certified, the HDT-8 includes the ALS (Auto Lock Security) system, a safety feature which automatically locks the lift masts as they rise. It also has VMB’s SRS (Sequence Retainer System), meaning the masts rise and descend in sequence, one after the other.
