Upstate NY College Adds Danley Gear to New PAC Venues

CANANDAIGUA, NY — Working with JMZ Architects, AVL Designs provided technical gear for a 410-seat performance space and a smaller performance room within the Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center (CMAC) at Finger Lakes Community College. Tasked with the need to find suitable high SPL gear late in the design process, AVL Designs opted for Danley loudspeakers and subwoofers.

StageTech Provides iLive Consoles for IFC Crossroads House at SXSW

AUSTIN, TX — The Independent Film Channel (IFC) returned to SXSW 2013 with its fourth annual festival-sanctioned IFC Crossroads House. Vice Bar hosted both IFC’s Interactive Week and the Music Week. Over the course of seven days, the IFC Crossroads House served up music and comedy events featuring Sarah Silverman, Michael Cera and Fall Out Boy, among others. StageTech relied upon two Allen & Heath iLive T-112s and iDR-48s for mixing audio levels at FOH and monitors.

Symetrix released the SymNet xControl, an external control expander for use with the SymNet Edge and Radius family of DSP products, useful in conferencing and paging applications. For those installations where Edge and Radius’s eight onboard control inputs and eight logic outputs require expansion, xControl provides an additional 16 inputs, 16 outputs and two RS-232 ports.

Florida’s Grace Church Upgrades with WorxAudio TrueLine X5i-P Line Array System

CAPE CORAL, FL — Grace Church, which serves its congregation in Florida with four houses of worship, recently updated its Cape Coral campus with a new audio system that includes a WorxAudio TrueLine X5i-P line array system. Creative Sound Solutions owner Tony Flammia made the recommendation for the church’s 100-by-60-foot sanctuary, which features a cathedral-type ceiling.
