Cytek Media Systems pulled out the studio’s tired old sound playback systems and replaced them with new, reliable ones centered on the flexible Ashly NE800.70PE two-channel amplifier with optional on-board Protea digital signal processing. Bexar County and the facility’s management, teamed up with LD systems to install 40 ARCS Focus and 16 SB 18i subs into the venue to improve the sound quality in the coliseum. The new system is powered and processed by a combined total of 8 amplified controllers, two LA4 drive the bottom ARCS Focus while six LA8 power both the subs and upper four ARCS Focus cabinets.
