Wind Gust Topples Stage Canopy in NC, No One Hurt

SHELBY, NC — MercyMe band members and crew were performing a sound check at about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday Aug. 10 for a concert associated with the American Legion World Series when the event’s organizers noticed a wind shift and grew concerned about its intensity. Less than a minute after they evacuated the stage, a wind gust toppled the structure. The concert, also featuring Aaron Shust and The Afters, was canceled.

Clearwing Provides Five DiGiCo Systems for Summerfest 2013

MILWAUKEE, WI – More than 800 acts on 11 stages over the course of 11 days, with more than 840,000 fans in attendance. Those are the stats for Summerfest, rated as one of the world’s largest music festivals by Guinness World Records. Clearwing Productions has been involved in the event since 1995 and worked closely with DiGiCo to provide five systems in key positions at various stages throughout the event.

CORNWALL, U.K. – For Frank Ocean’s recent European tour, engineer Dave McDonald supported the singer’s shows using an Allen & Heath iLive digital system at FOH. The setup included an iLive-112 control surface with 8 in, 24 out, RAB2 ACE, connected to a modular iDR10 MixRack with 56 in, 24 out, RAB2 ACE and Dante. The crew also used an analog split between the iLive and monitor console.
