CTS Audio Adds JBL VTX Line Arrays, Crown I-Tech HD Amps to Inventory

BRENTWOOD, TN – CTS Audio, based here, recently added JBL VTX line arrays and Crown I-Tech HD amplifiers to its inventory to accommodate the needs of some recent large-scale events. CTS Audio recently put its new VTX/I-Tech HD system to the test at the Delta Country Jam in Tunica, Mississippi and the Dove Awards in Nashville, TN.

ST. PAUL, MN – Brad Paisley is currently in the final leg of his 2013 “Beat This Summer Tour” throughout the U.S. and Canada. The tour leg is due to wrap up here in mid-November before moving on to London and Dublin for two shows in mid-March. Sound Image of Escondido, CA is providing Harman’s JBL VTX line arrays and Crown I-Tech HD amplifiers.

CLEMSON, SC — The 2013/2014 North American touring production of Mamma Mia! kicked off at Clemson University’s Brooks Center for the Performing Arts here Sept. 30. Associate sound designer David Patridge turned to Masque Sound for a custom audio equipment package to support the sound design by Bobby Aitken and Andrew Bruce.

WATERLOO, Ontario, Canada – Martin Audio recently held demos for its MLA Compact loudspeaker system in New York, NY and Washington, DC. The New York demo was held in the Grand Ballroom, Manhattan Center Studios. The Washington DC demo took place in the Lisner Auditorium at George Washington University. The events were attended by theatrical sound designers, acoustic consultants, audio engineers and event production management.

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA – Ameristar Casino’s Amerisports Bar, based here, offers patrons live entertainment every weekend. FOH engineer Dan Allen added AKG IVM4500 IEM in-ear-monitors to a system setup that already included other Harman components ranging from a Soundcraft digital console, Crown amplifiers and JBL Professional loudspeakers.

LOS ANGELES, CA — At the 65th Primetime Emmy Engineering Awards, held here Oct. 23, 2013, Lawo was awarded the Emmy Engineering Plaque. The award honors achievements that exhibit a high level of engineering and are important to the progress of the industry. SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Based on a book by Peter Stone and featuring music and lyrics by Sherman Edwards, 1776 is a musical that draws on the events surrounding the creation and signing of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. While the show focuses on events dating back some 237 years, there was nothing ‘historical’ about the American Conservatory Theater’s (ACT) audio attributes. That’s because state-of-the-art Digital Hybrid Wireless microphone technology from Rio Rancho, NM-based Lectrosonics was utilized.
