Tallahassee Nightclub Updates D.A.S. Audio System

TALLAHASSEE, FL – The Coliseum Tallahassee, an 8,000-square-foot venue drawing crowds for a diverse menu of music and dining options, opted to stick with the D.A.S. brand for a recent audio upgrade. Ultimate Sound and Light, also based here, updated the previous system, which had included D.A.S. Aero 12A line arrays, with D.A.S. Audio Aero 40A line arrays.

Canadian Events Venue Equipped with Soundcraft Si Expression 1 Console

TORONTO – Located at the University of Toronto, Hart House is one of the largest and busiest event spaces in Canada, hosting a variety of conferences, concerts, corporate and social events. To accommodate the 7,000 annual event bookings, AV Manager Ira Cohen recently designed a new audio installation for the Hart House’s Great Hall (the signature space at the venue). It features a Soundcraft Si Expression 1 console from Harman.

Vancouver’s Chan Centre Upgrades with 360-Degree Meyer Sound CAL System

VANCOUVER, BC — With an assist from GerrAudio, Sapphire Sound of Abbotsford, BC updated the sound system for the 1,185-seat Chan Shun Concert Hall within the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts here with a 360-degree system comprised of six steerable CAL column array loudspeakers from Meyer Sound. Toronto-based Engineering Harmonics’ Martin Van Dijk designed the system and Paul Alegado served as project manager. The new system is credited with a dramatic improvement in both vocal clarity and sound distribution.

State University in MA Installs Bose RoomMatch System

BRIDGEWATER, MA — For the 1,300-seat auditorium within Bridgewater State University’s Rondileau Campus Center here, Adtech Systems installed RoomMatch loudspeakers and PowerMatch amplifiers from Bose Professional Systems. Adtech Systems’ Charles Crane noted the gear’s ability to help turn trouble spots such as the balcony into areas for a prime listening experience.
