SOLANA  BEACH, CA — The Belly Up Tavern, a 600-seat live music venue here, fills to capacity with a roster of artists in genres ranging from alternative rock to rock, reggae, hip-hop, blues, folk, jazz, Latin & more. The tavern’s recent digital upgrade included a Yamaha CL5 console and Rio 3224-D and Rio 1608-D units purchased from Muzeek World, San Juan Capistrano, CA.

French Alps Attract U.K. Students with Skiing, Music

TIGNES, France — Since 1922, students at Oxford and Cambridge universities in the U.K. have participated in a winter trip to the Alps. For the 2013 outing, close to 2,740 students traveled to Tignes, France. Along with skiing and snowboarding, the event featured live music, with support from Bristol, U.K.-based Production Audio’s XLC DVX line array elements and other Electro-Voice gear.
