FALLS CHURCH, VA — The latest audio upgrade at the State Theatre here includes components sourced through GC Pro, installed by affiliate program member Koko Brothers Entertainment. The upgrade includes an RCF dual-hang line array sound system, managed by a dbx DriveRack 4800 speaker processor and mixed through an Avid SC48 VENUE digital FOH console.

ROME — At MAXXI Museum here, visitors can listen to Sonic Mappings, a musical landscape created by American sound artist Bill Fontana that makes use of Meyer Sound MM-4XP components provided by Scott George of Autograph Sound. The permanent installation also relied upon SpaceMap multichannel surround panning, the the D-Mitri digital audio platform for signal processing and other Meyer tools.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ Hypnotic Eye Tour

On Aug. 3, 2014, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers kicked off its Hypnotic Eye tour in support of the group’s new studio album of the same title. The tour was a mix of mostly arena dates, with a few festival appearances, along with a number of outdoor performances, including legendary venues such as the scenic Red Rocks and The Gorge amphitheaters and Boston’s Fenway Park. The two-and-a-half-month tour concluded with two dates at the revamped (and reborn) L.A. Forum in mid-October.
