Neil Diamond Touring with JBL VTX V25-II Line Arrays

LOS ANGELES — Neil Diamond is back on the road, with an assist from Parnelli award-winning sound engineer Stanley Miller. The current tour is the first to make use of Harman’s new JBL Professional VTX V25-II line array loudspeakers, provided by Sound Image. The show setup also includes Crown I-Tech HD amplifiers and AKG mics. Miller, who has supported Diamond’s shows for 45 years, said the current setup provides “the best sound we’ve ever had.”

ORLANDO — An April 29 press event promoting the May 4 opening of the 400-foot-high Orlando Eye observation wheel featured daredevil Nik Wallenda walking across the rim of the turning wheel with no strings, cables or lifelines attached. Billboard Latin Music Awards Gets RF Assist from Radio Active Designs UV-1G Base Stations, Belt Packs

MIAMI – Telemundo tapped PWS (wireless audio), Acoutech (PA) and East Shore Sound (communications) to handle audio and communications for the Billboard Latin Music Awards. Telemundo also specified UV-1G wireless intercom systems from Radio Active Designs to free up more RF channels for the event, where 140 channels of wireless were used for the main show and another 60 were in use between the red carpet and other media areas.
