NORTHRIDGE, CA – Electro Acoustics has outfitted the University of North Texas’ newly constructed Apogee Stadium with Harman’s JBL VLA line arrays. The PA system needed to survive demanding outdoor weather conditions as well as provide high output, high clarity and immense power. NASHVILLE, TN — Gibson Guitar acquired the assets of the Stanton Group, including KRK Systems, Cerwin-Vega! and Stanton DJ, and announced the formation of the Gibson Pro Audio Division, based here. Audix’s TM1 Plus is a combination kit which includes the TM1 measurement microphone, threaded acoustic windscreen, shock mount clip, ½ inch calibrator adaptor and microphone calibration data on CD. The data files are a numeric representation of the TM1 frequency response. Together with the microphone, these can give sound engineers and designers an accurate picture of how the PA system is reacting throughout a room in real time. OXNARD, CA – After years of planning a complete renovation of its sanctuary, including an upgrade to cutting-edge A/V technologies, St. Paul's United Methodist Church suffered a devastating setback one week before its completion. A fire ruined everything inside the sanctuary. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but so close to such a long-awaited rebirth, the fire was a demoralizing setback of several months.
