The system also includes a Yamaha LS9 digital console, with a Yamaha DM8 processor connected via Cobranet. A pair of Renkus-Heinz IC7 mechanically steered columns are installed in the choir loft as monitors.

Craig Doubet Chooses DPA Mics for Michael Bublé Tour

BURBANK, CA — Craig Doubet, Michael Bublé’s FOH mixer, chose DPA Microphones’ 4099 Live Instrument microphones and 3521 Cardioid Compact Stereo Kit for the artist’s Crazy Love tour, crediting the gear as a transparent solution that was also discreet and lightweight. Other factors in Doubet’s decision included the gear’s ability to reduce the amount of gain before feedback in the piano and the bleeding of other instruments into the mic, while still allowing for easy and repeatable placement. The 3521 stereo kit in particular, has been integral to Bublé’s live sound, since the piano is a large part of the show.
