RENO, NV  – Located in the Whitney Peak Hotel in the heart of downtown Reno, the recently completed Cargo Nightclub features a an EAW KF740 3-way array system powered by several Powersoft M and K series amplifiers. “Once we got the system up and running, everyone was just floored,” said Dan Bishop, the hotel’s production manager, crediting the newly installed system for clarity.

HARD Summer Festival Uses JBL VTX Line Arrays and Crown I-Tech HD Amplifiers

LOS ANGELES – Having recently upgraded to JBL VTX Series line arrays, Flag Systems provided a total of 40 JBL VTX V25 loudspeakers and 44 VTX S28 subwoofers for this year’s HARD Summer Festival main stage. The entire system for the event, held the first weekend in August at the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area in South El Monte, CA, was powered by 102 Crown I-Tech 12000HD and three Crown I-Tech 4x3500HD amplifiers. JBL HiQnet Performance Manager was used to manage the system.

Deutsche Welle Uses RTW TouchMonitor to Monitor Sound Levels

When broadcaster Deutsche Welle sought to make its programming compliant with the EBU-R128 loudness mandate, it turned to RTW’s TouchMonitor line of audio meters to make the transition. Engineers working on various broadcast shows use the RTW TM3 units in a combined setup with the existing RTW PortaMonitor, which is used for monitoring level, loudness, frequency response and phase of analog and digital signals systems, as well as the RTW TM7 units at the company’s dubbing suites. The TM9 units are being used with an installed radar option, for a more detailed look into the composition of the metering data.

Parsons Audio Expo Set for Nov. 6; Demos Planned by Yamaha, Other Manufacturers
