NEW YORK — When the new musical Found opened at the Atlantic Theater Company’s Linda Gross Theater Oct. 14, sound designer Ken Travis turned to Masque Sound for a custom audio equipment package centered d&b audiotechnik’s Q-Series components with Sennheiser wireless, Sennheiser and DPA microphones and an Avid VENUE SC48 digital console for control. The system also includes a Meyer Sound LCS LX-300 delay matrix.

Musicians Institute Scholarship Offered by Hosa Technology Now in Second Year

LOS ANGELES — Jonathan Newkirk, audio engineering program chair at Musicians Institute (MI), based here, recently posed for this photo with Danica Renee Garcia of Santa Paula, CA, the recipient of the 2014 Hosa Technology Audio Engineering Program Scholarship. Garcia was chosen among other incoming MI students who had submitted a 500-word essay on why they should be considered for the scholarship, which defrays the cost of tuition by $1,000 and also provides a $250 voucher toward the purchase of Hosa Technology gear. The scholarship program is now in its second year.

LINCOLN, NE — Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon, & Williams audio consultant Mark Graham designed an upgrade for 87,000-capacity Memorial Stadium at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln here that includes 16 Meyer Sound SB-3F sound field synthesis loudspeakers. All Meyer Sound components were supplied by BNY Productions of Sioux City, Iowa, with installation by Lincoln-based Electronic Contracting Company.
