Rat Sound Provides L-Acoustics K2 for Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza
THOUSAND OAKS, CA – Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza has upgraded its two theaters with L-Acoustics sound systems. The 1,800-seat Fred Kavli Theatre for the Performing Arts has become the first performing arts theatre on the West Coast to permanently install the L-Acoustics K2 line source array system, alongside KARA and XTi elements. The Janet and Ray Scherr Forum Theatre, a 394-seat flexible performance space, is now equipped with ARCS WIFO constant curvature line source arrays and XTi enclosures.

Five Finger Death Punch, Volbeat Tour with Adamson Energia System from Sound Image
LAS VEGAS – Five Finger Death Punch (5FDP) and Danish metal band Volbeat co-headlined a tour that also featured opening acts Hellyeah and Nothing More with 22 shows around the U.S. between Sept. 16 and Oct. 24. Sound Image supported the tour with 48 Adamson E15 and 12 E12 line source enclosures and 24 E218 subwoofers.

AI Rentals Provides D.A.S. Audio Gear for Cayman Islands Pirates Week Festival
CAYMAN ISLANDS – AI Rentals supported the staged live music events associated with the 11-day Pirates Week Festival that ran from Nov. 6-16 this year with an arsenal of audio gear including speaker components acquired earlier this year from Spain-based D.A.S. Audio. The main stage PA system featured of two hangs of 8 Event 210A loudspeakers plus two more for infill (mounted on the subs). Those subs were 16 Event 218A enclosures positioned in a single line across the front of the stage and delayed to make a virtual arc. Outfills consisted of two additional Event 210A hangs. There was also a single delay stack comprised of four Event 210A enclosures. Sidefills and drumfill consisted of Action 118A bass enclosures with Action 15A systems. D.A.S. Action 12A enclosures served as stage monitors.

Alice In Chains Tour Backed by Creative Audio’s JBL VTX Line Arrays, Crown Amplifiers
ONTARIO, Canada – With two headline shows in Ontario, Alice In Chains recently completed its North American tour, where the band performed in theaters and arenas with capacities ranging from 1,500 to 4,000 seats. NAC Technologies, also based in Cleveland, installed NEXO GEO M620 components sourced via Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems. The venue has been managed by PlayhouseSquare since 1999 and hosts productions staged by Great Lakes Theater.

Sound System for Jaguar XE Launch Event Guided by TiMax SoundHub
LONDON, UK – Orbital Sound supported freelance sound designer, Sebastian Frost’s setup for the launch of the Jaguar XE at Earls Court recently. The 90-minute production included a musical theatre-style show with a cast of performers, a a 30-piece orchestra and 17 new and vintage automobiles on a 53-by-30-meter stage. Frost made use of an Orbital-supplied TiMax SoundHub audio showcontrol delay-matrix to sweeten the sound for the 3,000 attending the event within the proscenium theater.
