Audio-Technica E-Series IEM Earphones

Audio-Technica’s new E-Series Professional In-Ear Monitor (IEM) Earphones promise to bring the sonic signature of the company’s M-Series to an in-ear design. The three models in the E-Series have been designed to meet the needs of demanding sound professionals and musicians from the studio to the stage to the DJ Booth. The ATH-E70 (pictured here) is the flagship in-ear monitor model in the E-Series. Features include three balanced armature drivers to provide accurate and extended response across the entire frequency range. A-T’s ATH-E50, with a single balanced armature driver, also promises to ensure confident, comfortable stage performance with excellent isolation. Rounding out the E-Series is A-T’s ATH-E40, which has a proprietary dual phase push-pull driver design to improve fidelity and efficiency.

500-Seat Concert and Cinema Hall in Moscow Equipped with Allen & Heath GLD Mixing System

MOSCOW — Audio Video Solutions provided an Allen & Heath GLD digital mixing system for an audio refurbishment project at a 500-capacity concert/cinema hall within the headquarters of Russia’s Moscow-based Unified Energy System. The new setup includes a GLD-80 console installed in the control room, with AR2412 and AR84 remote I/O racks located at the surface providing 32 local analog inputs and 16 local analog outputs. The GLD gear controls a QSC speaker system.

Blizzard Shuts Down Broadway, Other Live Shows in NYC, DC, Baltimore

NEW YORK — The Blizzard of 2016 brought more than 26 inches of snow to Central Park and shut down live productions planned for NYC’s Broadway and Lincoln Center venues. It also forced the postponement of big concert events including Bruce Springsteen’s tour stop at Madison Square Garden and two Garth Brooks shows at Baltimore’s Royal Farms Arena. The storm also played havoc with hundreds of travelers to the NAMM show in Anaheim, many of whom were unable to return home to East Coast destinations or make international connections through JFK.

Adlib Installs Coda within Liverpool Philharmonic Music Room

LIVERPOOL – Adlib has supplied a Coda TiRAY sound system for Liverpool Philharmonic’s new venue, Music Room, a flexible space accommodating between 160 to 250 people depending on a cabaret, theatre or standing configuration. The venue, which opened in October 2015, has been built as part of the £14.5 million refurbishment of the 1939 Grade II listed Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
