Hometown Hero Nominations are In, Vote for 2018 Sound Company Finalists!

LAS VEGAS – From early September until Oct. 6, 2017, FRONT of HOUSE readers have the opportunity to vote for the best regional sound company in each of six separate regions in North America – five U.S. regions and all of Canada. Your votes will narrow the list of 36 nominated companies down to just six. These regional winners will then automatically appear on the final Parnelli Awards ballot, which will be posted for a final round of voting during the month of November.

Germany-based pro audio specialist DirectOut is bringing their Dante device to the IBC 2017 exhibition, which will be held Sept 15-19 at the RAI in Amsterdam. With its original product line focused around MADI, DirectOut started to open up towards future connectivity standards as an early adopter of RAVENNA. A second network audio format, Waves Soundgrid, was added to the portfolio in 2016. Now, at IBC 2017, the company will feature the EXBOX.MD, a small yet powerful Dante-to-MADI converter box. Crisp County High School Replaces Lighting-Struck Gear with Danley Sound System

CORDELE, GA – Crisp County High School, home to the Cougars, fills its 5,000-seat football field with its Friday Night games every autumn. Responding to a call after lightning took out the previous system, Johnson Electronics Systems provided Danley speakers and amps. Four OS-80s cover the seats and field from the home team seating area, powered by a single, two-rack space Danley 5K4c amplifier that provides four channels of 1250W/channel amplification along with on-board DSP.
