Lectrosonics Announces Service Policy for Products in 700-MHz Band

Dubbed Ecco Ultra Lounge, it sets new standards for a greener nightlife by minimizing and neutralizing its impact on the environment. Part of this commitment to conserving resources is seen in its choice of loudspeaker, which comes from Turbosound.

LOS ANGELES — Lucinda Williams puts her poetry to pavement, traversing via “Car Wheels On A Gravel Road” in her travels “West.” On her ninth studio album, “Little Honey,” Williams brings her critically lauded songs and show to fans across the states. The tour’s audio backbone comprises dual DiGiCo D1 live sound consoles at the hands of longtime monitor engineer Kevin Madigan and new-to-the-fold engineer James McCullagh (Joss Stone, Alanis Morissette, INXS, Journey) at FOH.
 

ALBANY, Georgia — The city of Albany, Georgia, has given a nod to its best-known native son with the opening of a park in his honor. Ray Charles Plaza includes a fountain featuring a life-sized revolving, lighted bronze sculpture of the famed musician seated at a grand piano. The sculpture, commissioned by acclaimed artist Andy Davis, is the centerpiece of a five-acre park featuring piano-key studded sidewalks and loudspeakers playing the master's music.The sound system, designed by Atlanta-based Lee Sound Design, features a series of Community WET loudspeakers. 

BUSHNELL, Ill. — The Cornerstone Christian Rock and Alternative Music Festival is a weeklong festival in central Illinois celebrating Christian participation in the arts and culture. More than 20,000 people attend, coming from all over the world to camp on a 550-acre piece of land. The sound system to meet this challenge was set up and monitored by Bobby Spangler of Susquehanna Sound Productions and relied on speakers and processors from Bag End Loudspeaker Systems.

PARIS — Outline’s Butterfly Outlinearray was used at the Cité de la Musique, located in the heart of Paris, on the occasion of two concerts that were particularly demanding from a technical point of view: “Histoire de Melody Nelson” by Serge Gainsbourg and “L'Enfant Assassin Des Mouches” by Jean-Claude Vannier. Sound engineers had to deal with more than 70 channels and a multitude of microphones. 

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The inaugural Rock the Ink, which spanned three nights at Dunkin’ Donuts Center and Rhode Island Convention Center (RICC), was a celebration of hard rock music and body art culture. Hampstead, N.H.-based Rainbow Production Services brought the MILO and MICA high-power line array loudspeakers from Meyer Sound to support such hard-hitting acts as Godsmack, Killswitch Engage, Bret Michaels and 47 other bands wishing to push the sound level limits. 

HOUSTON — Texas-based tour production specialists LD Systems are currently touring with British superstar soprano Sarah Brightman and their Electro-Voice sound system. Brightman’s Symphony World Tour is currently on its 48-day/32-city North American leg, with stops including Washington DC, Mexico City and Toronto. The show boasts new technology that transforms the stage into a variety of fantasy environments, creating a unique concert experience for the audience.
