Fireflight On Tour with D.A.S. Audio

WAVERLY, OH — JSL Productions, which recently provided live sound reinforcement for the Christian rock band Fireflight’s recent Hope tour, used their Aero Series 2 sound system from D.A.S. Audio.

WASHINGTON, DC — Musicorps, a program based at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, uses music as therapy for wounded American soldiers. Provided by the nonprofit organization Renovation In Music Education (RIME), Musicorps encourages injured veterans to work on goal-oriented projects many hours a day.

BERKELEY, CA — Matthew “Smitty” Smith, the programming director and venue development consultant for The Starry Plough Pub and Nightclub, credits the venue’s new Meyer Sound CQ-1 loudspeaker system for helping draw talent and fans.

ST. LOUIS, MO — Lucinda Williams’ monitor engineer Seth Kendall specified a Neumann KMS 105 for the artist's vocals, which, when paired with a Sennheiser ew 300 IEM G2 wireless personal monitor system, lets him deliver monitor mixes that, in his words, “absolutely sparkle.”

LAS VEGAS — Meeting Services, Inc. technical director Ken Freeman credited a combination of “great sound, reliable performance, and easy array configurability” for the company’s selection of VerTec line arrays at the AARP’s Vegas@50+ convention held recently at the Sands Expo Convention Center.

EVANSTON, IL — John Legend recently performed for an audience of 5,500 at the Welsh-Ryan Arena on the campus of Northwestern University. Gand Concert Sound provided audio for the event, produced by A&O Productions. SCS Productions provided lighting and staging.

LEICESTER, MA — Compared to the age of its campus, which dates back to 1784, Becker College/Leicester’s gym is a youngster — it’s only been around for about 37 years. Even so, its 37-year-old sound system was overdue for an upgrade. The new system installed by Wavelengths Pro Audio included an Ashly ne24.24M matrix processor with Ashly remote control units.

WOODRUFF, SC — For a city of less than 5,000 people, Woodruff, S.C. looms large in terms of its success with football. From the mid-1960s through the 1990s, Woodruff High School coach Willie Varner led the team to a total of 10 state championships, with hometown standouts including Notre Dame quarterback Tony Rice.

PERRYSBURG, OH — Thunder Audio recently installed sound systems at three Cedar Creek Church locations in Ohio beginning with the Perrysburg campus followed by the Whitehouse and Toledo satellite locations. Thunder Audio also received an install “assist”’ from Prodigy Music at the Perrysburg and Toledo sites.
