LAS VEGAS, NV — BK Audio, a design/build firm that also handles acoustical consulting as well as live sound reinforcement for the special events market, was contracted to handle the sound system installation for audio that could compete with the yips and hollers of the downtown Vegas crowd at The Las Vegas Country Saloon. According to Brian Klijanowicz, BK’s owner, pictured here, the room’s layout and physical construction made this project particularly challenging.

Sontronics Mics On Tour with Extreme

MILAN, Italy — To promote their first new album in 13 years, called Saudades de Rock, Extreme launched their “Take Us Alive” tour last year. Guitarist and vocalist Nuno Bettencourt was singing the praises of the mics brought along on the tour, including two Sontronics STC-80 dynamic mics, two Sontronics Orpheus condenser mics and a Sontronics STC-1 condenser mic.

Allen & Heath iLive-T Series

Allen & Heath recently launched a new compact digital mixing system. Called the iLive-T Series, the system offers many of the features of iLive in a compact, lower-cost package. The T Series comprises the fixed I/O iDR-32 and iDR-48 MixRacks and iLive-T80 and iLive-T112 Surface options with remote CAT5 connection. Each rack can be used with either control surface, and all models will be compatible with the existing iLive units.
