XTA, MC2 Partner With Renkus-Heinz at Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

STURGIS, SD — The 2009 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally’s memorable quirks include a hailstorm that sent attendees scurrying for cover and Steven Tyler’s tour-interrupting fall from the stage. But at 70 years — nine years older than Tyler himself — the small regional gathering in 1938 has become an all-out, balls-to-the-wall biker extravaganza, and with a sound system to match.

SAN FRANCISCO — For the 12th annual Skills ETD Pop Electronic Music Festival at the Cow Palace, JK Sound created a circular array consisting of 48 EAW KF750 High Output Array Loudspeakers and 12 KF755 Downfill Array Loudspeakers, flown in a large circle beneath three tiers of lighting and directly above the rotating main stage in the center of the hall. JK Sound also used a dozen SB750z High Output Subwoofers at the structure’s base.

TEL AVIV, Israel —Waves Audio announced a series of behind-the-board sessions with Waves artists Chris Lord-Alge, Eddie Kramer and Tony Maserati at AES 2009. These sessions will take place in the Music Mix Mobile “M3” truck, located at Booth #273.
