LONDON – An American football game might not be a rarity in October. But this one, pitting the Chicago Bears against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, took place at London's Wembley Stadium. By the time the Bears beat the Bucs, 24-18, some 77,000 fans had also had the chance to listen to pregame shows by the Goo Goo Dolls, Noah Stewart and Katherine Jenkins. Britannia Row Productions provided an extensive Outline loudspeaker system for the event.

Soccer Stadium in Romania Equipped with RCF Sound System

PLOIESTI, Romania – FBS Lines, RCF's distributor in Romania, provided audio gear for Ilie Oana Stadium, a soccer stadium here. The installation included 24 RCF P6215 and 28 RCF P4228 speakers to cover the tribune sections of the stadium. The speakers are powered by six RCF DPS 3000 amplifiers and controlled by two RCF DX 4008 digital loudspeaker management units and other RCF gear.

MONTEREY, CA – McCune Audio/Video/Lighting, which has been handling the audio services for the Monterey Jazz Fest since the 1960s, purchased their first DiGiCo, an SD10, and used it at this year's 54th annual festival. The SD10 handled FOH duties at the Dizzy's Den stage, which featured interview segments during the day and evening musical performances from John Pizzarelli, Donny McCaslin, Wil Blades and Hiromi, among others.

2011 CMA Award Performances Heard Via Audio-Technica, Shure

NASHVILLE – The 45th annual Country Music Association (CMA) Awards aired live in 5.1-channel surround sound Nov. 9 on ABC from the Bridgestone Arena. The audio crew, no strangers to live broadcasts, included audio producers Michael Abbott and Tom Davis; sound provider ATK/Audiotek; FOH mixers Patrick Baltzell and Rick Shimer; monitor engineers Michael Parker and Jason Spence; and broadcast mixers M3 (Music Mix Mobile) with John Harris and Jay Vicari.
