Lawo Names Global Sales Team as Company’s Organizational Changes Continue

RASTATT, Germany — Lawo, which announced in January that L-S-B Broadcast Technologies GmbH would be renamed Lawo and integrated within the Lawo company structure, announced additional organizational changes March 22. Jamie Dunn (pictured here) was named head of global sales. Dunn was also named head of sales in Europe, except for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Martin Blum will serve as head of sales in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH). Erling Hedkvist will serve as head of sales in the Americas, and Gregor Erlitz was named head of sales in the Asia and Pacific region.

Alcons LR18 Pro-Ribbon Line Array

Alcons Audio will debut its LR18 pro-ribbon line-array at the Prolight+Sound show in Frankfurt. The 3-way “compact-mid-size” format line-source sound system promises to combine high quality sound with very high SPL capabilities and throw. PITTSBURG, KS — For the 6,500-capacity John Lance Arena at Pittsburg State University (PSU) in Kansas, Reliant Media Systems provided an audio upgrade that includes four arrays and two zones of fill speakers form VUE Audiotechnik. Components include VUE al-4 Subcompact Line Array systems al-4SB Flying Subwoofers along with VUE i-8 Full Range Foreground Systems for fills.

DiGiCo SD7T Installed in Finnish National Opera

HELSINKI, Finland – The Finnish National Opera staged a production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera September 2015. Sound designers Sakke Kiiskis and Stanley Lönnquists specified a DiGiCo SD7T mixing console. Santtu Sipilä designed and installed the DiGiCo SD7T with EX007 extender wing and six SD-Racks on twin optical loops, plus a Waves SoundGrid system, for the 40 piece orchestra and 44 singers with microphones. CoServ Turns to Earthworks Boundary Microphones for Executive Boardroom

MILFORD, NH – CoServ Electric upgraded the boardroom at their Corinth, Texas headquarters.  Dominant Sight and Sound designed installed 10 Earthworks IMBL30-B microphones for the system. In addition to the RTI control system, the 10 IMBL30-B microphones were used in conjunction with a Symetrix Radius AEC for DSP, Just Add Power 2G+ Transmitter and Receiver for the 18 screen video wall, and a K-Array KP102 Line-array Speaker.
