LOS ANGELES — British metal band Iron Maiden is relying on a Meyer Sound LEO Family loudspeaker system to power its “Book of Souls World Tour.” The band’s performances have been filling arenas around the world since the six-month, 35-country tour began in February. FOH engineer Martin Walker chose LEO speakers for power and clarity for Iron Maiden after mixing Judas Priest’s 2014-2015 world tour on the system.

NEW YORK – For a month-long residency at the United Palace Theatre in New York’s Washington Heights, Audio Spectrum deployed an L-Acoustics system consisting of three K1-SB subs flown over 10 K2 enclosures per side, supplemented by SB28 subs ground-stacked below, plus X8 coaxials as frontfills and ARCS II enclosures as outfills. NEW YORK — For Broadway’s Fiddler on the Roof, the audio system supplied and installed by Sound Associates includes d&b audiotechnik V7P point source loudspeakers for those in the ground-floor orchestra section and two rings of E6 for delays under the deeper parts of the large balcony and E4s for lip fills. Working with longtime design assistant/collaborator Alex Neumann and d&b’s Adair Mallory, sound designer Scott Lehrer made use of d&b’s ArrayProcessing to allow for even audio coverage for every seat in the theater.
