When an audio upgrade was called for, clarity of sound for music and speech were the two goals. Church leaders sought out services from Custom Integrated Solutions of Youngstown, OH for the solution with Community Professional’s I Series loudspeakers. They achieved their goal. “This was the first time we could hear in the church,” said one church member.

The key to the success of Jancik’s sound is DPA Microphones’ d:vote 4099V instrument microphone for violin, which he uses for all of his live performances and also for any recording projects he undertakes. Now based in Vienna, where he has his own studio, he often plays with top musicians as part of his own Rock ’n Violin project, and also performs with acclaimed artists, such as Canadian rock star Avril Lavigne.

The church recently upgraded their sound reinforcement system, with Horizon AVL of Blackwood, NJ, contracted to handle the installation. Read More »EXMOUTH, UK – Proel’s Axiom AX800A compact line array was used for the first time at a live event at the recent Exmouth Festival. ESW Solutions gave it a trial run, reporting success. “This is a great product for outdoor festivals and events of this type,” says ESW’s managing director Martin Nicholls. “Looks neat, great design – it’s lightweight, very straight forward and intuitive to use. We had very little work to do with the EQ on the sound check at the festival site, and we were particularly impressed with the consistency of frequency response from close to stage to the back of the event site.”

Read More »INDIO, CA – Camarillo, CA-based Rat Sound once again deployed an Eastern Acoustics Works Adaptive system in the Gobi Tent at this year’s Coachella Festival in Indio, CA. The 18,000 square foot tent is known for its eclectic mix of alt bands. SaysAdam Labov, FOH engineer for Goldroom, “My overall experience with the Anya system was a very positive one. I felt like I had endless headroom and the speaker response was incredible.”
OMAHA, NE––CCI Solutions of Olympia, WA recently installed a Martin Audio CDD system in the main worship space of the new StoneBridge Millard Campus. The sound system for the worship space needed to be flexible in terms of both spoken word and music reproduction, and the space had its own set of unique challenges.
