VISTA, CA – The upgraded Moonlight Amphitheatre includes a new permanent system complete with JBL PD5000, VerTec and VRX Series loudspeakers. All right, kids, the topic of today's story is powered wedges. I'll preface this with a small story. This test is a continuation of a small shootout that we did here at the shop a while back. The original shootout was between L-Acoustics, Turbosound, JBL VP and DAS powered wedges.
I met with Joe O'Herlihy, U2's audio director and FOH mixer, in the Nevada desert just outside of Las Vegas. U2 was playing in Sam Boyd Stadium on Oct 23. This was one of the many stops on the bands' very ambitious 360º tour. Ambitious not for the amount of dates played, but because of the size, scope and magnitude of the 360º project.

For the 2,150-seat theater built for Cirque du Soleil's ZED at Tokyo Disney Resort, sound designers François Bergeron and Vikram Kirby are using Meyer Sound's Constellation electroacoustic architecture to invite guests into a world of imagination.
The Boston Park Plaza Hotel and Towers, a landmark since the Roaring Twenties, has been inducted as a member of the Historic Hotels of America. But the sound system used for its six sizable ballrooms was a source of frustration to the hotel staff.
