Community MX41E Series Monitors

Community Professional Loudspeakers’ new MX41E series of stage monitors are compact two-way bass reflex floor monitors, available in 90-by-40-degree (MX41E-94) or 60-by-40-degree (MX41E-64) coverage patterns. The MX41E is voiced for live performance use, combining balanced, full-range musical performance with vocal range and focused coverage. Both models feature rotatable horns for narrower horizontal coverage. Angled backs allow the MX41E to be positioned at 30- or 45-degree angles. Other features include Community’s Ferrofluid-cooled LF driver technology, solid birch plywood construction, 16-gauge perforated, powder coated steel grille, steel handles, steel input panel with Passive/Bi-amp switch and Neutrik input connectors. MX41E monitors are also protected by Community’s PowerSense™ driver protection circuitry and come with a five-year warranty. Black and white finishes are available.

Dynacord Supports Hip Hop MC’s Book Party

MINNEAPOLIS — Dessa Darling, emcee for Minnesota-based hip-hop group Doomtree, performed at the Guthrie Theater’s Dowling Studio in Minneapolis to celebrate the release of her new book, Spiral Bound, a collection of short fiction and poetry. Local production and rental company Windy Shores Sound provided a compact sound system for the event — the XA from Dynacord.

Finnish Concert Hall Upgrades with L-Acoustics Kiva

VANTAA, Finland — L-Acoustics’ Finnish distributor, Starlike Oy, has installed a Kiva/Kilo system into the Vantaa Martinus Concert Hall, a 1,000-seat venue constructed in 1986. The hall is home to the Vantaa Pops Orchestra, a 40-to-70 piece symphonic orchestra specializing in light entertainment, rather than purely classical music, and including pop elements such as guitar, keyboards and drums.

Historic Church Outfitted with JBL Loudspeakers

PINOLE, CA — In a retrofit project for a historical parish, Hercules, California-based Pro Media/UltraSound recently upgraded the sound system at St. Joseph’s Church in with JBL Professional VP Series loudspeakers. The church’s structure has been part of Pinole for more than 100 years, became a constituted parish since 1947 and now has more than 10,000 members.
