WEST SUSSEX, U.K. – Flare Audio, which is providing PA and monitors for the U.K. tour for drum and bass duo Nero, turned to 5 Star Cases for a casing system for Flare's Triwave i10 loudspeakers. The idea was to help the crew deploy the speakers quickly and efficiently when flown as main left and right PA arrays inside a venue.

KIEV – The Olympic Stadium opened here Oct. 8 with a speech by Ukraine president Viktor Yanukovych, a performance by Shakira and audio support from Kiev-based Komora, which provided JBL VerTec speakers, Crown amplifiers and Soundcraft Vi4 digital live sound consoles. Komora's Harman gear played a supporting role to the sound reinforcement provided by Fotis Sound and Clair Global, with JBL VT4889 line arrays positioned to cover side seating areas.

PreSonus announced version 2 of Studio One, its DAW for Mac OS X (Snow Leopard and Lion) and Windows XP/Vista/7 (and soon, Windows 8). Version 2 offers more than 100 new features and enhancements, including updated multitrack comping, multitrack MIDI editing, transient detection and editing with groove extraction and Folder Tracks. Studio One 2 also offers Melodyne pitch correction. While offering new features, PreSonus asserts that the software has remained uncluttered and easy to use.
