Event Details

Edmundo Gómez Moreno, an aeronautical engineer and musician better known as Raymix, is credited as the original composer of the hit song “Oye Mujer” in 2014, which he wrote a year after listening to a lot of trance music and cumbia beats while taking part in an internship with NASA. Bootleg versions of the tune grew in popularity before Raymix’s first album release of the same name in Feb. 2018, but the album, Oye Mujer, went platinum and in April 2018, and a remix version was released as a duet with Juanes a few months later. Now known as the King of Electrocumbia, Raymix’s performance was a highlight of a concert celebrating the spring equinox that was staged at the Parque Intermunicipal in Cholula, Puebla, Mexico on March 21.
