NEW YORK – Foundation Audio is helping New York sports fans get an earful with RCF gear installed at the Tonic Bar & Restaurant near Times Square. The audio keeps up with the visual experience as customers enter the space – including 25 large plasma and LCD TVs and a large marble-topped bar. The second floor is a restaurant with an international menu, and the venue also includes private bars for special events.
Foundation Audio's Justin Shafran noted that the installation included four H1315 speakers in the four corners of the room on the second floor, tilted downward at a 30-degree angle to optimize the throw distance of the speakers with the length of the room.
Foundation also equipped the side of the space reserved for dancing with two S8028 speakers, positioned side by side on one side of the room, with an additional S8028 speaker on the other side for low-frequency support for the bar area.
The installation also included two C5215Ls, one each side of the room for side fill, and five C5215s on U Brackets on the wall facing the bar at a 45 degree downward angle. The wall speakers are 8.5 feet off the floor and the two flown C5215s are 9.5 feet from the floor. The ART 410A is being used as a DJ monitor.
