VALLEY PARK, MO – People in the business of repairing audio gear get a pretty good idea about product reliability. Logic Systems Sound and Lighting owner Chip Self noted that, even though JBL SRX728 subwoofers have been in use for a while, very few have needed repairs.
"We have only ever seen two or three units in for repair, which is very impressive, considering the number of these subwoofers circulating in the market today," Self said.
Logic Systems, an authorized JBL repair facility, now has a large arsenal of SRX728s, using them for events ranging from political rallies to concerts. The list of gigs includes the MidAmerica Concert Series; Live on the Levee Concert Series; Lil' Wayne in the Round at St. Louis University; Nelly live at the Contemporary Art Museum in St. Louis; and the Rib America barbecue and musical festival in Missouri.
"The JBL subwoofers are easily transported and stacked at any event, and their quality is by far the best in the industry," Self said. "Considering the extent to which we push our equipment, the durability alone is a major reason we stick with them."
