HALIFAX, NS Canada – The Canadian Institute for Theatre Technology (L'Institut canadien des technologies scénographiques, CITT) recognized Sennheiser Canada with the Supplier Achievement Award for Sennheiser's wired and wireless audio products and also for its commitment to educating the live theater community in best audio practices. Sennheiser received the award at Rendez-vous 2010 at Pier 21, Kenneth C. Rowe Heritage Hall.
"Sennheiser is an audio company highly respected throughout the industry, and the quality of its products and services is renowned worldwide," said Victor Svenningson, production & technical manager at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. "In Canada, Sennheiser has always been a key player in supporting CITT, providing top-notch service to its members."

Sennheiser is a regular presence at CITT's annual trade show. In addition to a booth for new product demonstrations, Sennheiser both sponsors and presents a range of workshops on wireless audio technology. Sennheiser "really helped us out a few years ago," recalled Svenningson, "when the guest speaker for an audio workshop pulled out at the last minute. Not only did Sennheiser provide a speaker, they sent one of the world's leading experts from Europe to handle the event."

"CITT provides the axis around which the technical theater community revolves," said Frédérick Girard, business director for pro audio products, Sennheiser Canada, who received the award on behalf of Sennheiser in Halifax. "It is therefore a great honor to be formally recognized by CITT for our commitment to live theater in Canada. We look forward to a bright future, as every new generation of Sennheiser technology brings  professional-grade audio to aspiring theaters and troupes."
