PONTIAC MI – As many as 10 workers setting up for A R Rahman's Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour in the Silverdome sustained minor injuries June 19 from a stage collapse. The structural failure forced the show to be cancelled. A performance set for June 20 in Toronto also needed to be rescheduled.
The concert, produced by Deepak Gattani from Rapport Productions, had been scheduled with appearances at more than 20 major arenas and cities during a 45-day world tour, with stops in North America and Europe. It began June 12 in New York.

The accident happened about 4:30 p.m. Silverdome spokesman Tom Constand and Pontiac Fire Chief Jeffrey Hawkins noted that while none of the injuries were life-threatening, the injured workers were taken to the hospital for evaluation.
