LAS VEGAS – The Killers recently wrapped their Day & Age U.S. tour, the first to feature Martin Audio's W8L Longbow line arrays. Delicate Productions and British soundco Capital Sound provided audio support.
Delicate Productions' Alan Behr, who served as audio crew chief, worked with FOH engineer James Gebhard, monitor engineer Clarke Laplante, and audio techs BJ Hemmingsen, Fumi Okazaki and Harm Schopman, who later replaced Laplante mixing monitors.

The main PA for the tour featured Martin Audio W8L Longbow line arrays with a main hang consisted of 24 W8L Longbow modules, with 24 flown Martin Audio W8LS subwoofers for the low frequencies. Downfill was supplied by Martin Audio W8LD, 4 boxes per side, with a side hang of up to 24 Martin W8LC. Martin Audio MA4.2 amplifiers powered all speakers.

The system also featured a DiGiCo SD7 digital mixing console at FOH and a DiGiCo D5 at stage left for monitor mixing.

The Martin Longbow eliminated the need to use delays for the tour, and that had been a factor in choosing it for the tour, according to Gebhard.
