Audio-Technica to Hold Seminars at NAB Booth

LAS VEGAS — Audio veterans Dennis Baxter and Dr. Fred Ginsburg will be on hand at Audio-Technica’s NAB booth next month, N2121, conducting seminars for show attendees.

Baxter’s seminar, “Surround Sound for Sports Broadcasting,” is slated for April 20, April 21 and April 22 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. He’s a multiple Emmy award winner and the sound designer for the 2004, 2006, 2008 and upcoming 2010 Olympic Games, and author of A Practical Guide to Television Sound Engineering.

Ginsburg’s seminar, "Placement and Use of Lavalier Microphones," is also slated for April 20, 21 and 22, at 10 a.m.  and 2 p.m. each day. He’s a specialist in production sound recording for motion pictures and video, a member of the Cinema Audio Society (C.A.S.) and has a background that includes nearly two decades as a sound mixer for feature films, TV, and corporate and government productions. Also an author, Ginsburg currently serves on the faculty at California State University Northridge.
