TORONTO — Score Media Inc. recently went live with a new multi-million dollar studio for their sports network, available in 6.4 million homes. The technical operations staff selected Lectrosonics wireless systems for their programs, which include Court Surfing (NBA highlights) and The Score Tonight sports news program. The gear was purchased through Trew Audio, and the Toronto office of Applied Electronics handled installation of the equipment. The Score acquired two Venue Series modular receiver systems, each with six VRMWB wideband receiver modules, for a total of 12 channels. On the transmitter side, the station purchased six LMa Digital Hybrid UHF beltpack transmitters and six SMDa Super Miniature Digital Hybrid Wireless UHF beltpack transmitters. To enhance signal reception, they also purchased six ALP600 LPDA “shark fin” antennas. The Score also acquired four Lectrosonics IFBT4 Frequency-Agile Compact IFB transmitters as well as eight R1a Synthesized UHF beltpack IFB receivers.
