Digital Audio Denmark’s (DAD) DADman is a Windows / macOS software application for controlling DAD’s line of AD/DA converters. New features added to the free V.5.8.1.6 DADman control software include Mic Gain Grouping and Device List Sorting for DAD’s AX Center, AX64, Core 256, AX32, NTP Penta and Avid MTRX units. This Version 5.8.1.6 (and accompanied firmware updates 1.1.1.1 and 2.4.5.1) also include expanded functionality for configuring Control | Pack via DADman.
Grouping of mic input channels is now applicable for all products except MTRX Studio (requires firmware update). That function is very useful in high channel count sessions or when adjusting gain for stereo signals. Meanwhile, re-ordering of Control | Pack routing presets is now possible from within the Routing Preset dialogue, while visible Trigger Status within the Routing Preset dialog simplifies and manage and monitoring routing presets and triggers.
The flagship of DAD’s Thunder | Core Series, the AX64 Modular Audio Interface / A-D and D-A converter, router and monitoring system offers 256 Thunderbolt 3 channels; 256 Dante I/O channels; 64 MADI channels; 16 ADAT or S/PDIF dual-TOSlink ports; 512×64 channel summing, 64-channel speaker EQ processing and Control | Pack and eight expansion slots.
