MIAMI – DAS Audio of America recently added Burton Ishmael to its growing team. Ishmael will serve as Senior Market Development Manager, Pro Audio. He brings decades of touring, broadcast, and installation experience the position.

In his new role, Ishmael will focus on expanding DAS Audio’s reach within the professional sound market, supporting customers, partners, and engineers with real-world expertise, product education, and market development strategy for the new flagship line of speakers, the ARA Series. A longtime user and advocate of DAS Audio, Ishmael’s transition into this official role represents a natural evolution of a relationship that spans nearly two decades.“I have watched this company grow over the years and have seen firsthand the level of care, consistency, and innovation they bring to the table,” said Ishmael. “From the people to the products, DAS has always been about delivering performance with heart. Burton Ishmael is one of the most respected live sound professionals in the industry today. His résumé includes front-of-house engineering credits for Madonna, Post Malone, NAS, HER, Bryson Tiller, and G-Eazy, along with current work on NBC’s flagship shows, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Saturday Night Live. He has also built a successful business serving the house of worship market and spent years leading sound system design and integration projects around the country.
Ishmael’s connection with DAS Audio began in the mid-2000s when he first incorporated the brand’s products into his rental inventory. Over time, he became a loyal user, installer, and advocate, selecting DAS gear for its reliability, clarity, and warmth. That hands-on experience, combined with a deep understanding of the industry, makes Ishmael uniquely positioned to help grow and support the DAS user base.
