NEW YORK — USITT, the United States Institute for Theatre Technology, is seeking industry professionals to participate in a survey to determine the demographics of the entertainment design and technology workforce across the U.S. USITT is among many organizations working to improve equity, diversity and inclusion in the industry, but there is no current or comprehensive statistical data measuring the demographics of our industry.
The survey is being administered by SMU DataArts, the National Center for Arts Research at Southern Methodist University. The data collected will give the industry at large the opportunity to understand the composition of the creative and technical workforce using self-reported data from each individual participant.
For each of the questions, participants may decline to state an answer. It should take no more than five minutes to complete the survey.
