LAS VEGAS – Insomniac’s flagship EDC Las Vegas event, originally scheduled to take place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway May 15-17 2020 has officially been postponed to Oct. 2-4 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

When passes for the 10th annual Las Vegas extravaganza went on sale last September, the expanded 2020 event, expected to generate 450,000 “turnstile clicks” over three days with crowds drawn by 250 acts headlined by the Chainsmokers, Tiesto and David Guetta, sold out in a record 48 hours.

In early March, Insomniac founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella had said the event was moving forward as planned, but later in the month reports circulated that the company behind EDC was looking for new dates.

While Covid-19 has forced the cancellation of other big EDM events this year including Ultra Music Festival in Miami, other major festivals like Coachella were postponed from spring to fall.

Insomniac will honor original ticket purchases at the October event, according to reports, with refunds for ticket holders who are unable to attend in October.
