CARLSBAD, CA — The NAMM TEC Awards honors those people, companies and products that have attained the highest standards of excellence within the audio, music technology and sound production industry. The TEC nominating panel is currently accepting entries for the 35th Annual NAMM Technical Excellence & Creativity Awards, to be held in January 2020, during the Winter NAMM Show.
Products submitted by manufacturers and project entries must have been released and in commercial use during the current eligibility year, June 30, 2018 to July 1, 2019. The deadline for entry submissions has been extended to 11:59 PM PT, June 9, 2019.
Technical Achievement Categories for New Products Include:
Amplification Hardware; Audio Apps & Hardware / Peripherals for Smartphones & Tablets; Audio Education Technology; Computer Audio Hardware; DJ Production Technology; Headphone / Earpiece Technology (including IEMs); Large Format Console Technology; Microphone Preamplifiers; Microphones (Recording and Live Sound); Musical Instrument Amplification & Effects; Musical Instrument Hardware; Musical Instrument Software; Production Essentials; Signal Processing Hardware/Software; Small Format Console (under 60 pounds); Sound Reinforcement Loudspeakers; Studio Monitors; Wireless Technology; and Workstation / Recording Devices.
Outstanding Creative Achievement Categories include:
Film/TV Sound Production; Interactive Entertainment Sound; Record Production; Remote & Broadcast Production; Studio Design; and Tour Sound Production
