Event Details

Melanie, a.k.a. Melanie Safka, was one of only three women were featured as solo artists at the Woodstock Music Festival in 1969. She is best known for her hits “Brand New Key”, “Ruby Tuesday,” “Look What They’ve Done to My Song, Ma,” and her song about performing at Woodstock, “Lay Down (Candles in the Rain).” Melanie’s son Beau Jarred opened the show along with folk group EVA.
