Las Vegas-based commercial audio, video, lighting and control systems contractor Advanced Concepts & Designs recently completed the design and installation of the audio, video, lighting and control systems at Freedom Beat, a new restaurant and live music venue inside the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino in downtown Las Vegas. Freedom Beat – now open 24 hours a day and serving classic American food – plays classic American music with live performances by local and regional artists nightly.
“Although the timeline was a bit crazy, we were excited that all of the elements came together and we had all systems operational by opening date,” said Advanced’s General Manager Mike Brown-Cestero. “Working together with 34th Floor Hospitality, Bunnyfish Studios architecture and Gibson Brands – who provided the Cerwin Vega! PA system – we were able to make the most of the three-week turn-around time.”
Patrick Genovese, entertainment relations professional for Gibson Brands – parent company of Cerwin Vega! Audio – added, “Cerwin Vega! is pleased to be the main loudspeaker company in the all new Freedom Beat music venue. We share in the excitement, enthusiasm and talent of the Las Vegas music scene and look forward to a bright future with the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino.”
The entire system features a main performance sound system by Cerwin Vega!, a distributed audio system by JBL and QSC, stage lighting by Elation and a Crestron control system. Several iPads – distributed among the management team – allow for source, volume and lighting changes.
Advanced Concepts & Designs was founded in 2002. In addition to live venues such as Sam’s Town Live!, the company has extensive experience in the worship, hospitality and entertainment markets with clientele throughout the Western US.
