Now shipping, the RCF SUB9006-AS is a 7,200-watt dual-18 active sub featuring a low 22-inch tall design that can be used vertically or horizontally. Two hyper-vented 18” long-excursion neodymium woofers with 4” voice coils are capable of accurately reproducing frequencies down to 30 Hz and achieving 142 dB SPL. It easily integrates in a system with any of RCF’s HDL Series line arrays, and with its onboard RDNet Control, with the TT+ Series cabinets. RDNet Control protocol provides dedicated networking software for monitoring all system parameters from the input to the status of every amplifier and transducer in the system as well as parameters such as gain, equalization and delay, as well as selectable presets for the onboard DSP.
More details from RCF USA (www.rcfusa.com):
RCF is now shipping the SUB9006-AS subwoofer. The cabinet design features a low design, only 22” tall, that makes it easier for both integration and touring truck pack convenience. The cabinet measurements are also such that the enclosure can be used vertically or horizontally with RCF line array modules able to be ground stacked. Dual aluminum handles have been added for touring cartage.
The RCF SUB9006-AS is a 7,200-watt dual 18” active subwoofer that can perform in the most demanding situations from installations to touring sound. The cabinet features two high-power, hyper-vented 18” long-excursion neodymium woofers with 4” inside-outside voice coils capable of accurately reproducing frequencies down to 30 Hz and achieving 142 dB SPL.
“The stiffer transducer cone coupled with the long-excursion design provides a tight, punchy low frequency response,” notes RCF National Sales Manager Tarik Solangi. “The venting of the voice coil works to provides the capability to lower frequency response another octave and eliminates any long-term fatiguing.”
The success of the RCF active subwoofer line has been seen throughout the family of products including the SUB8004-AS single 18”, SUB8005-AS single 21” and SUB8006-AS dual 18” active subwoofers.
The cabinet design rationale is to produce a subwoofer that can be used in a system with any of the RCF HDL Series line array products, and with onboard RDNet Control with the TT+ Series cabinets.
The new dual 18” cabinet increases the power and output of its predecessor, also adding RCF’s proprietary RDNet Control protocol that provides dedicated networking software that makes is possible to monitor all system parameters from the input to the status of each and every amplifier and transducer module in the cabinets as well as cabinet parameters such as gain, equalization and delay. Onboard DSP also allows for selectable presets.

The Class D switching power supply is contained is its own separate housing, set on shock-mounts, while the combination of Baltic Birch and composite material of the cabinet itself is designed to dampen down vibrations.
An optional detachable front mounting wheel board with lockable casters is available for transport, enabling rapid venue load-ins and load-outs while also protecting the front grille and transducers during cartage.
